Re: “Where to find it: Vlasic Hot Jalapeño Slices

Best HOT Jalepeno there is. Not soggy with no heat like most junk stores sell! Vlasic has perfected the hot jalepeno. Will not buy anything else.

Re: “Where to find it: Live Blue Crabs

You really did an article about blue crabs at Super G Mart....made it sound good...did you realize they only sell FEMALE blue crabs??? No one who has a knowledge of blue crabs will EVER eat a female crab....they may have something good there but they are the reason we do not have male crabs.....seriously.....kill a female and where do you expect a child to be born? did you research crabs before you did this article? I hope others will send feedback as well. Fishing for females should be outlawed.

Re: “Where to find it: Low Country Brunswick Stew; plus, Ghoulish Treats

Just to let you guys know, Pan de Muerto is also available at Las Delicias Bakery (4405-B Central Ave.) Las Delicias is Charlotte's oldest Latin Bakery with many delicious treats from all over Latin America. The Bread of Kings is also available every year right after New Years. Try it any time of the year, it's great!

Re: “Where to find it: Jamaican Barbecue Jerk Sauce

Island Spice ( makes a great jerk rub. I like to mix it with a little olive oil, beer and a couple dashes of Scotch bonnet sauce and whip up a killer marinade.

Re: “Where to find it: Chicago-styled Pizza

Well, this was a useless article. Talk about being mislead by the title. I thought you were actually going say where to find Chicago style pizza in Charlotte. Maybe the title should have read "Where to find Chicago Style Pizza: In Chicago!

Re: “Where to find it: Charlotte's elusive signature dish

I always thought that was fried pickles. I'm sure Charlotte didn't do it first, but I grew up in Raleigh and never had them or heard of them until I moved here. Since then, I've noticed them on menus in other cities, but nowhere else are they so ubiquitous. Whenever I have an out-of-towner here, they've never heard of them either and end up loving them.
