Re: “Emerging Local Artist Slices Through Paper to Express Pain, Transformation

Great article, I'm thrilled to see Karla's work getting more exposure and recognition every time! Her work has evolved a lot! Her art is very different than anything I've personally seen and that's one of the things that makes it so appealing and so beautiful. The incredible amount of dedication with each cut reflects the passion on each piece! Congratulations Karla!!

Is it necessary to use curse language when reviewing a children's musical?

Re: “A geek's guide to understanding Watchmen

No wonder the world terrorist CIA being involved in many 'SUPER HERO' movies with propaganda America the 'Saving Legend of Entire World' & Russia the destroyer of the world.
The American citizens need to understand their country is making fake propagandas for its killings in the name of "War on Terror".
You need to know how many afghas were raped, tortured, murdered by the american psychopath military mercenary dogs before you know how many innocent civilians the
IRON MAN superhero saved.
US created, funded Osama & ISIS for its own interests. The Hollywood is the biggest propaganda for the CIA for its terrorist operations,

i hope Creative Loafing encourages a healthy discussion on this website from all sides of the conversation, will allow DISCUSSIONS on Violence, racism and personal attacks that were deployed behind the so-called "Hollywood" propaganda movies :)

Re: “In the streets: Brass Connection

Brass connection band is a fraud - I booked them for a party and not only did they not show up but no one even bothered to call to let me now.  And now they are giving me the run around to give me my deposit back.  DO NOT BOOK THIS  BAND.  They are dishonest

Re: “Andy the Doorbum declares an art war on Charlotte

I was only trying to make Charlotte more like I would have liked it to be and encourage others to do the same however they saw fit. Of course, by getting out there I was promoting my own ideas, as well as those who participated, but I was also trying to open a door for others to feel fearless about doing that themselves. I certainly never intended to come off as some high and mighty know-it-all and never intended any cultural appropriation in my costume and painting ideas, though they were inspired in part by the Native American cultures of which my Great Grandfather was a member. I hate that some took it this way, but ultimately, what's done is done and I have no desire to look back with regrets. I miss Charlotte and hope that it is treating everyone well, including the critics in these comments. All the best to all of you.

Re: “Breaking the Moon musical brings light to dark side

How could one put such power into words? To have seven teenagers perform a musical that could evoke so much emotion in such a short time is just incredible. Amy's writing, the songs, the performance were all amazing, all the while promoting an awareness of so many issues and pressures young people face. Definitely a must see for teens and adults alike.
