Although I've only had the Intermezzo pizza, it's hard for me to imagine anything could be any better, but I'll be referring back to this article to try these others listed for sure 👍
Every time someone writes about Pizza Midwood, they neglect the really decent pizza at the Harris Teeter. Why is that?
I've had all of them. Totally agree - accurate reporting!
I haven't met you yet but I know I just love you 🍕❤️ Thank you for the kind words. Your next Pure Country is on me.
Cosmic Cookie Bakery near Northlake has some of the best cupcakes in Charlotte and they deliver till midnight! www.cosmicookiebakery.com
This is especially maddening when one of these mega-tap joints thinks "if we offer a single witbier we've got Belgian AND German styles covered" and then floods the rest of the menu with pale ales and porters.
My favorite cupcake shop, with the BEST frosting and a great staff.
Atte. Lic David Cuevas de Pozoleria Los Cazadores en Acapulco!!!
A couple of things: first, while Marcus Samulesson may be Harlem based, he definitely isn't black, nor does the dishes that he makes, speak for the majority of African-American culture. As for the Neely's, part of what made their show a success (in the beginning) was the fact that they were affectionate. They helped portray a positive image of not only successful marriage in the African-American community, but they also showed that we can own successful food franchises that are not modeled on what another culture dictates to us. As I said, this was part of what made them successful in the beginning. Over time, their dishes changed to be some of the same dishes that are seen on other shows. Yes healthy eating does need to be shown and promoted, but BBQ is a big part of the African-American community. No one complained when Paula Deene cooked dishes with massive amounts of grease or butter in them, so why complain about the Neelys making BBQ? That's what "brought them to the dance" so it only made since to perfect it while occasionally introducing new dishes. As for Sunny Anderson, I thought her show was good in the beginning but the same thing happened to her that happened to the Neely's as far as dishes goes: she changed so much that her dishes no longer even resembled what we actually make in the African-American community. I agree in a sense with what was said about Big Daddy's House, as far as the focus not matching the title of the show, or the drastic changes in dishes from week to week. Despite this, I still couldn't figure out why his show was cancelled.
Just made this for a Patriot's Playoff game! It's perfect! Thanks Clint Medlock!!
Maria from New England!
I really liked this recipe, my kids had a great time making this
We love Buddy's Nuts! So delicious. Great Article. It is fun to hear the story behind the recipes and and the name. Keep 'em coming.
You left out Thirsty Nomad, who are predicting an "early 2016" opening, across I-77 from OMB and Sugar Creek. In brewery time, that's probably "late 2016 if they're lucky", but still. http://thirstynomadbrewing.com/blog/
I really like the last food network star winner Eddie Jackson but they stuck with him possibly the worst show yet. "BBQ Battle" or something like that has absolutely zero focus. Eddie's got a great personality but apparently his only direction was to be "fired up ex-jock". What a waste.
As a Magazine Publisher that focuses on Our Black culture, We are the best cooks in the World. Unlike most observations and intents, if these Chef's show productions were focused to the intent of making their shows successful, it would be! Sunny, Aaron, The Neely's etc... We know the Game.. So, they ran a good course, Hang in there Sunny.. We got chu sista... As for Us in general, we must continue to redirect our attention towards our success. Own your networks, your businesses, your talents and platforms.. and change the paradigm....Period!.. W>NF Las Vegas!
I just want to share with you what I found out from this goodie, I wrote it on Vice http://munchies.vice.com/es/articles/la-torta-cubana-no-llego-nadando-a-mexico
For anyone who got shut out of the Cold Mountain sweepstakes, give Anderson Valley Winter Solstice or Great Lakes Christmas Ale a shot.
Shawn's food is truly amazing. The flavors are impressive to vegan and the non-vegan alike. We love the pop up dinners and Shawn designed the menu and was our chef at a recent fundraiser event. We have never heard so many rave reviews from our attendees. Can't wait to have him back for our next event.
