For the first time in years, I feel confident that there will be new music. I don't doubt that Martie and Emily would do their "smaller footprint" thing with the Courtyard Hounds. And Nat might do another project. But in a few years, the Mother ship will sail again; and with new music.
For some background, Joseph and Dun hail from Columbus, Ohio. They started the musical duo in 2009 (with a few former members)
His name is Carrabba and the foursome is new in the last couple of years. Fact check yo shit
can u come to my house selena?
Thanks! :) -Steven J. Robinson
Her drummer is on point
I love how I'm in the photo at the very front rocking the green hair and bandana. Haha.
No, Jeff. The organizers shouldn't cut back on the unheard of performers... that was one of the positives of the weekend, was actually seeing new blood on the concert scene. The Glorious Sons, Avatar & '68 were shining examples of why you should show up earlier to festivals such as these. This was one of the best, well-organized festivals I've ever been too and some of the best security guards and concession stand workers I have seen EVER. Wonderful weekend and definitely NOT a "Metal Overload".... Get it together, Jeff.
What?? No pictures of Skynyrd, Scorpions or Shinedown...
My first year and I must say I had a blast and very well organized!
I am so thankful Mumford & Sons did not cancel their concert or I would have been completely heartbroken. They are my favorite band and I am a huge Super Fan. They put on an awesome gig, as always. Great decision, my Lads, great show. Love them with a passion!!!
Super group , can't wait to see them again this year. http://www.celticwomanconcerts.com/c/celtic-woman-discography/celtic-woman-destiny/
Santi White in her 40-year-old looks very impressive and youthful.
Perhaps she is the best singer of our time.
I listen to a lot of Santigold’s songs and visit most of the concerts in the United States.
My favorite lyric songs of this great singer here http://santigoldtourdates.com
The gereatest, aren't they? http://www.celticwomanconcerts.com/
While I've never really been one to go to a bar specifically to see a cover band, I've never really seen them as taking money from my original band. It's two different scenes, with two different audiences. Live and let live. It's my hope that both scenes grow and prosper. If I do lose a portion of my audience to a cover band, then it's just a sign to me that I need to bring my game up to a higher level. If I can't compete in the market, it's my problem, not another band's fault.
All of that said, it is amazing how different a cover band is from an original band. We did a gig where both original and cover bands played. I have always thought this was a good idea. The reality was not what I expected. Original bands are used to playing 3 or 4 band gigs, and are good at getting on and off stage quickly. Cover bands tend to play for an entire evening, and usually have time to spare on set up and break down. This showed itself at the gig. The cover bands played great, but the show came to such a screeching halt between sets. There was well over an hour of dead time as one cover band broke down, the the next cover band set up. 15 or 20 minutes would have been the turnaround with original bands used to that fast pace.
First time seeing them and they were fantastic. Also the fact that you included the setlist is amazing.
What do You Want From Me from Pink was on the Fillmore set list. Adam's covers usually surpass the original artists. He can sing one song 5 different ways off the top of his head, Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love a classic example. I remember seeing Adam at the Fillmore in 2010 on his Glam Nation Tour with the audience gasping when Adam came out on the stage & almost forgetting to exhale. There was an electric current in the air with fans around me commenting on the adrenaline rush we were all feeling. He also had that effect on the audience on the world tour Queen concerts. Adam has a powerful stage presence, along with his magnificent vocal ability. Seeing him live is an unforgettable experience! funbunn40
They are really talented. \m/
Not sure what Pink cover is in that Setlist. Pink wrote Whatya Want From Me. but it was recorded on Adam's first album For Your Entertainment which was also nominated for a Grammy. I know she has sung it on her tour, but she has always acknowledged Adam for releasing it on his first album. Adam also sang Fever which was written by Lady Gaga and Never Close Our Eyes by Bruno Mars. Nice pics, BTW!
