Walk A Mile in Her Shoes is a fun one mile walk and silent auction at the NoDa Brewery on August 27, 2016. The best part about the walk? All walkers will be wearing high heels. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about rape and gender violence in the community. All proceeds from the event will be benefiting Safe Alliance. Safe Alliance provides a continuum of critical crisis services to those victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault or child abuse. Men: $25 Ladies: $10

Enjoy a fully supported bike ride from the Morrison Family YMCA with mileage options of 30, 45, 65 or 85 miles. Winding out towards Waxhaw and beyond, the longer routes will explore western Union County and combine some of the faster flat roads with a challenging mix of hills to climb (must be 16 years or older to ride). All funds raised will go directly to Y scholarships for under resourced students in our community. $25 online registration; $30 day of event

The Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon in Davidson, NC has proven to be a memorable setting for triathletes, from beginners to seasoned veterans. The 500 yard swim is a closed loop in a protected cove in Lake Davidson. The 13 mile bike ride leaves the Ingersoll Rand campus to form a loop just north of Davidson. The run is a closed loop following the walking trails that surround the Ingersoll Rand campus and stays on the campus to create a safe and scenic venue. The Jimmie Johnson Foundation is proud to announce that event proceeds will support current Foundation programs. $60.00 before June 21st

Kids can also enjoy a modified challenge by participating in the Youth 1-Mile Obstacle Fun Run suitable for 5-14 year olds.
