Freshness is key to the menu items at Kabab-Je. Not surprisingly, the menu at Kabab-Je offers dozens of these small plates, including an ever-so-smooth hummus, smoky eggplant moutabel, ful moudamas (here not strictly fava beans, but mixed with chickpeas), house-made spicy soujok sausages, salads and stuffed grape leaves in olive oil. Among Kabab-Je's best are the gorgeous, succulent offerings from the charcoal grill: lamb kebabs, kafta skewers and boneless chicken with garlic sauce.
When you enter Katz New York, you will notice New York memorabilia throughout the restaurant. Our waitstaff brings endless complimentary coleslaw and pickles to the table. We feature our own cooked corned beef and brisket and steam the best pastrami in the city. We import from New York knishes, chopped liver, and the largest selection of smoked fish in the southeast. We make our own whitefish salad, salmon salad, and hand sliced smoked salmon, Lox Strugeon and Sable. In addition we have homemade cheese blintzes, kugel and fresh salads.
