Tina: I'm black and grew up poor. There is a BIG difference between the wealth of food that comes from African-American culture and people ... and ramen noodles and hot dogs. Or BBQ spaghetti, whatever that is.
And guess who was right?! (Me.) ALL those shows got canned ... and the Neely's even got a divorce. I sure can call 'em!
Bernard F. Stoycon called CL an Assrag. Assrag .. ha ha .. that's a funny word.
The previous poster should have seen gastonia before. It is definitely vibrant now ... compared to a few years ago. Thanks to the writer for shedding light on the good things in town.
So Grooms getting comments from mcCrory and a ton of other political analysts who clearly derided her was bubblegum? Jesus ... are you married to Tara? Get a grip. This is the ONLY article I've seen in town that has even attempted to present Earle's platform and put her ideas up against McCrory objectively. I say Bravo to Grooms and the Loaf for doing this piece.
Not sure what article the first poster read, but I thought the article was incredibly comprehensive and eye opening. Perhaps you miss Tara's conservative approach to local politics. If that's the case, read her column. As a matter a fact she covers Earle a bit herself this week.
