Instead of taking the old big-ass fan and going home, Zach McNabb of Zali Presents (formerly of the Neighborhood Theatre) took it and the lighting over to the "big room" of the Chop Shop, giving Charlotte another large space for national talent. From EDM events to artists including Black Flag, Man Man, Kurt Vile, Mobb Deep and Beats Antique, the Chop Shop and Zali have boosted one of the city's best venues for live music.
