Now Open:

Tin Pan Alley, a pizza and sports bar, in Huntersville, 13812 Cinnabar Place (Exit 23). The two-story eatery features the bar on the top level and the restaurant on the first. Managing partner Jon Dalton says the menu includes New York-styled pizzas, sandwiches and Iowa ice cream. Hours: 11 a.m. until midnight weekdays; open later on weekends.

Small Bites

Bosky Acres Inc., a family-owned-and-operated goat dairy licensed September 2007 in Waxhaw, is selling their chevre-style goat cheese in both plain and garlic-and-chive flavors in 4-ounce containers in the specialty cheese section of Charlotte-area Earth Fare stores. Bosky Acres cheese is also sold at the Matthews Community Farmers Market and the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market.

• Seen on the Ru-San's menu: the Creative Loafing Maki with cucumber, tuna and avocado and Ponzu sauce.

• All three locations of 131 Main Restaurant have a new brunch menu featuring brioche French toast, oven baked frittata, and grilled beef with griddled biscuits and Hollandaise. Sundays 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

• In July, Chef Jim Noble is celebrating 25 years in the business. (He started in the Triad and has Noble's Restaurant and Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen here.) This year he will open The King's Kitchen, a nonprofit restaurant in Charlotte which will employ the needy and raise funds to feed the hungry.
