I can remember being in college in the summer of 1994 and blasting Betty with my windows rolled down, cruising to my next class. From the opening splashes of “Wilma’s Rainbow” to the underwater-sounding vocals of “Biscuits for Smut” and the crushing rhythms of “Milquetoast,” Helmet put a new stamp on metal for me. For this tour, they’re playing the entire album live, followed by a second set of Helmet favorites. (Jeff Hahne)
