In honor of the commander-in-chief's visit (and women everywhere), Women Centered Art is unveiling two new exhibits. Invisible Cities is a surreal mesh of dreamy and futuristic landscapes. The idea came from Italo Calvino's book of the same title about 55 imaginative cities β all of which are named after women β encountered by Marco Polo. The other exhibit, Dear President Project, brings new excitement to the term 'snail mail.' Itβs a community-gathered collection of handmade postcards displayed in a mobile art studio. Each postcard includes a short memo to the president that advocates the need for increased arts support. For more information, visit www.womencenteredart.org.
