What's more fashionable than something that's functional too? For all you smart fashionistas and dapper dons out there, get hip to the next big thing; it's called T MADE4U and they're wristbands designed by a 12-year-old named Taylor Brown. For the girls, the bands are colorful and cute. For the guys, they're masculine with that bit of quirkiness that good style carries. These survival bracelets are made from 550 paracord, a lightweight nylon rope originally used in the suspension lines of U.S. parachutes during WWII. Besides having a breaking strength of 500 pounds, the bands unwind to more than 8 feet in length and have more than 23 uses, including fishing line, dog leash and gun sling. Oh, and the next time your blind date tells you that you have something in your teeth, you can break out this wristband for dental floss. Taylor wanted to name the bracelets "Taylor-Made" but it was already taken by some golf company, so he and his dad changed it to T MADE4U, "short for Taylor made it for you, because each bracelet can be custom-made to your size and color choice," says Ryan Brown, Taylor's father. "It is important to Taylor and our entire family that we have more things made in America, so on a small scale we are trying to do just that," he says.
