Les Miserables

Finally adapted into a major motion picture in 2012, Victor Hugo's Les Miserables is a classic drama that rattles the cages of our hearts and reminds us of the importance of fighting against social injustices. Ex-convict Jean Valjean attempts to fight his way up the ladder in 19th century French society while looking after Cosette, a budding young woman entrenched in the revolution. The longtime Broadway version — turned musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg — comes to Belk Theater for nine shows on its current tour. The show comes to life in powerful performances such as "On My Own," "I Dreamed A Dream," "Do You Hear The People Sing?" and more.
