A: As a matter of fact, we -- along with the folks at The Sol Kitchen -- do still host Pop Life. It goes down every Wednesday from 6 p.m. until we get exhausted ... which is really late sometimes. We've done the event at a few spots around town since it debuted almost two years ago. (Wow, it's been that long? Betcha can't name another local publication that's hosted a dope nightlife event for almost two years!) We're currently popping off Pop Life at Apostrophe Lounge in South End. Located at 1440 S. Tryon (across the street Amos' Southend), Apostrophe is a cool, intimate spot. My advice? Come pay us a visit and check out some cool art, cool people, tasty drinks and the most eclectic mix of music in the city: Brazilian, soul, Afro-beat, classic hip-hop, jazz and more. Oh, and it's free.
