Sushi Girl

When: Thu., Jan. 24, 7:30 p.m. 2013
Price: $5-$10
There are only two places where you could reasonably expect to find a gathering consisting of actors Tony Todd (Candyman), Danny Trejo (Machete), Michael Biehn (The Terminator), Jeff Fahey (The Lawnmower Man), martial arts expert Sonny Chiba (Message from Space) and Mark Hamill (no I.D. required). One, of course, would be at a fantasy-flick convention. The other would be sharing the screen in Sushi Girl, the first 2013 offering from the folks behind Back Alley Film Series. Relative newcomer Cortney Palm plays the title character, a woman whose nude body is used as a buffet table off which people sample sushi. (Yes, it's a real fad.) In this case, the woman is being employed for a private party by a group of criminals whose unfinished business with one another threatens to end the evening on a sour note.
