Recent restaurant openings

• Now open is Savor Cafe & Catering, 1404 West Morehead St., 704-334-0098. Currently only lunch is served. Hours are 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. On the menu are burgers, sandwiches, vegetarians options, salads, and daily "blue plates" such as Chicken Pot Pie; Barbecue Chicken; Shrimp and Grits; Red Beans, Rice and Sausage; and Beef Brisket. Owners Lori Pearson and Lisa Burris are using local products when possible. Pearson makes the seasonal desserts such as Chocolate Bread Pudding, Blackberry Cobbler and Lemon Marshmallow Pie. • Also recently opened is Passage to India: Indian Cuisine (in the spot formerly Udipi), 9510 University City Boulevard, 704-549-1886. Passage is not vegetarian, but does offer vegetarian dishes as well as chicken, lamb, goat. Hours are Monday through Friday 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.; Dinner Sunday through Thursday 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. until 11p.m.

Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, a Celtic-themed sports bar, has opened its first Charlotte location at 13230 Carowinds Boulevard. This will be the first of three area locations. Tilted Kilt is a restaurant concept with “sexy female servers and buff male bartenders dressed in provocative kilts.” The food is traditional pub food
