Mez at the Epicentre will host a fundraising event for the Community Culinary School of Charlotte (CCSC) on Monday, December 7 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The event includes drinks, light bites, a silent auction, and raffle. Auction items include catered dinners by the CCSC staff. Raffle prizes include golf at Cedarwood Country Club, cooking classes, and kitchen equipment. Tickets are $25. The event is being underwritten by the International Food Service Executive Association and all proceeds will benefit CCSC which provides underemployed adults with culinary training while supporting the area’s underprivileged residents with in-home meal delivery. Global Restaurant & Fine Wine Trading Company, 3520 Toringdon Way, is hosting a Holiday Bubble Tasting with Lindy Lopez on Wednesday, December 9 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30p.m. $25 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Hors d’oeuvres will be paired with these wines: Duval Leroy Brut Champagne NV; Conde de Subriats Cava Rose NV; Jean- Francois Merieau "Bulles"; Loire Valley NV; and Domineco Beritol Prosecco NV.
