hehe A preacher names "JustIn Cox" interviewing a porn actress.. co-inky-dink?
It's easy to say that the first date should always be paid for by the man, but how many ladies go on several first dates with men? They never pay! What happens on the 2nd date? If the restaurant is very nice and you enjoyed yourself, the thing a gentleman (sucker) should do is pick up the check. I don't see anything wrong with it, but it's better if that cycle is stopped on the first date. The sentiment behind this, and I know I'm speaking for a number of men, is that we have never EVER had a woman pay her half, the entire check, or had a woman invite us on a date where she was expected to pay. So at a point, a man gets tired of paying. The funny thing is watch how different a woman's appetite and drink orders change when a guy pays the entire check vs if she is paying for her own or both, its ridiculous.
I have never used a sex toy before and all of my girlfriends say it's better than the real thing.I would love to try one out before i go and spend my money on one. So i would love a free sex toy!(:
There's a problem when you refer to men as men and to women as females.
Social vs. biological terminology.
How do i acquire these free sex toys exactly??
really would love to try one of these free sex toys i dont wanna pay 70 dollars for something i know i can get for free
Rule of thumb: When someone says they are NOT something (freeloader in this case) and then come up with all kinds of rationalizations for their behavior, it's less of a denial rather than a subconscious slip. Same thing with offering to make a (cheap) gesture of paying for drinks on the safe second date or insincere offers to split they don't expect to be taken up on. These are character flaws and we all have different ones. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to shed as many as possible.
I chuckled over her rationalization she wants to feel "special" about him paying for the date when she views this as a general entitlement for women. In addition, it means that she views special as applying only to herself with the man being just another meal ticket in a long line of ATM machines. A real "lady" wouldn't be going out with lots of strange men. It reminds me of the Rush Limbaugh controversy where the feminist ladies were all outraged at him calling them by a derisive, albeit descriptive term even as they claimed that they were now liberated beyond such labels.
If she and other such women want to be real ladies, fine. Then don't stop at just a cheap drink on the 2nd date. How about washing dishes and doing all the diapers for the rest of their natural lives even if they have a full time job?
I am pretty sure this book could be made into a comedy flick with very little adjustment. I really didn't get what the big deal was and had trouble finishing the 1st book, so it is safe to say I won't be reading anymore. But, I am 56 now and view sex through a menopausal haze - not that big of a deal anymore. Kissin' don't last, cookin' do. So work on those skills young ladies. And Wubbz - I am hoping the last paragraph is mostly false - except for the egg mcmuffin part (love, your mother)
Nice job Ms. Henshall - tell it like it is.
Where do I even begin regarding your long-winded, pretentious, diatribe?
Are. You. Kidding?
Get down off your women’s lib soapbox for a second and have a sense of humor. This chick writes a column called “BANGTOWN”… I’m pretty sure she’s not judging women based on their sexual liberties. She’s simply poking fun at this poorly written, ridiculous literary bandwagon that is running away with the minds of women everywhere; to the detriment of their daily activities, relationships, lives etc. At no point in this article does she pass judgment on the lifestyle. It’s a clever, snarky, satirical commentary on a book; nothing more, nothing less.
You on the other hand Judge-y McJudgerson are making blanket statements like “especially when you consider that (from the sounds of it) you have never had this type of emotional and sexual connection.” And my personal favorite “perhaps it's 'cause you’re from the south.” Uh, that sounds judgmental as shit. So put a dick in your hypocritical mouth and suck it…make sure you caress the balls.
I mean, what part of this article leads you to believe you know anything about the sex life of the writer??? I actually think when describing the allure of this book for women, she hits the nail on the head.
Oh, you watch porn? Awesome. So does everyone else, but as those of us who watch porn know; it isn’t typically made to satisfy the fantasies and desires of women. This book however, hits the proverbial g-spot. It is geared toward the unexplored desires of the female psyche. Making it like crack to women everywhere. Women are the fabric of society so if they are distracted by Christian Grey the world is going to go to shit…hence the title. That’s the point here. She’s in no way implying that these people are sexual deviants, akin to crack heads and this book will be the impetus to their takeover. They’ll start spilling into the streets bringing an end to civilization as we know it. She's just making some jokes about a book.
On a personal note dear, if you feel “slut-shamed” it’s only because deep down you have some unresolved “slut-shame.” It’s certainly not because some anonymous, female, writer comically denounced the cultural phenomenon that is this ridiculous book.
I dig BDSM and this article made me giggle. I don’t find this offensive because I’m not E L James. You know, for someone who is such a self-proclaimed sexual liberal you don’t seem very secure with your shit. I say this because as someone who is entirely comfortable with my sexual choices and preferences, you couldn’t slut-shame me if you tried. There is no such thing – because there is no shame in my game. My Caqatholic grandmother couldn’t slut-shame me. Why you ask? Because I know that enjoying anal or whips or bondage or girls or the occasional slap to the face doesn’t make me a slut…it just makes me awesome in bed.
Sadly, you seem to be one of those people clamoring for any excuse to mount your high horse (this is not a sexual innuendo) and point your fancy suede whip around telling others how judgmental they are, when in truth you’re the one judging and oppressing everyone.
Do me a favor and re-read the article, this time without the stick (or dildo or whatever you’re into) in your butt. You'll start not an article about people’s sexual preferences. I assure you this girl (whom I know personally) encourages women to open their collective sexual minds and experiment. Ms. Henshall is actually one of the most open minded people I’ve ever met and just about everyone she knows can attest to that. This girl has on more than one occasion picked me up from a promiscuous, BDSM fueled, one-night stand; only to high-five me and hand me an egg mcmuffin.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.

I think its more of a generational thing than a southern vs. northern one. I'm in my mid-late 20's, and most girls I have been on dates with have offered to pay their share, or later on, to alternate. Region didn't seem to matter, but all would consider themselves somewhat feminist and balked at the idea of me paying everything (yes I always offered on a first date).
Honestly, it was kind of off-putting and inconsiderate when only one girl, with a better job than most, had no shame about never contributing a dime after more than 10 dates.
There are plenty of more significant ways to act chivalrous than with your money. That's the easiest and 'cheapest' way. If a girl is hung up on that, consider it a big red flag and move on.
I am not originally from the South and I hold the door for ladies of all ages, whether I know them or not, and when I ask them out on a date I pay.
If we are just two friends "doing lunch" or such then Dutch is appropriate. A date is different. It's the way I was raised. I believe in equality of the genders, but equality does not mean there is no difference.
It is really quite the double standard woman have going with their women's lib, equal pay, WNBA, and all other girl power related things. Yet at the same time they want to be treated like poor helpless little children when it comes to spending money. You pretty much have to pick one or the other. You can't be both liberated and equal and helpless and poor at the same time. Most women I know simply expect to go dutch simply because what happens if the relationship actually goes somewhere? You end up creating this inequality in the relationship. I get that women want to be spoiled pampered etc, but at a point this will become detrimental to a relationship. I say get it right in the first place and move on.
So a man should spend money on you just because you have a vagina? Haha Women fought hard to be "equal" yet they want the man to pay for everything. FOH!

This article was amazing! I'm lmfao right now. My ass literally fell off, I was laughing so hard. It's all true. Reminds me of the John Carpenter movie, In the Mouth of Madness, except the insane axe murderers are replaced with insane cock-hungry women.

PS - You know, someone else (someone, I think, very similar to yourself) would slut-shame you for this desire:
But it's important to you and your being, right? Not to do amateur night, but to be free to be you? That's what I thought.
