As long as the chicken recipe hasn't changed I think I'm good with it.
How can I get in touch with you Mr.
Lucky? There's something that YOU MUST HEAR ASAP.
The new sign looks a lot like the old one when you consider how much worse it could have been.
I agree with everything you said, and as a designer am constantly dismayed at the dumbing-down of our visual landscape, but truthfully I didn't spend much time caring about this particular example. The old sign was done in the low-cost vernacular of the time. This new one is done in the low-cost vernacular of today, which just happens to be digital and clip-art-y. I'd prefer to have the old one, but I can't expect reverence for design and retro charm out of every business.

That's not a good enough reason for me; "just cause everyone else does". I don't get paid $5.00 every time I willingly read 1000 words.
Dang Bro....some good answers here today!
The change is insignificant, and if you hadn't written this article I wouldn't have even noticed.
What a weird question. Practically all writing contests worth their salt charge entry fees. You must never have tried to enter one before.
There should be a detailed reasoning for why you are charging an entrance fee.
A must see. Native charlotteans Joe Firstman and Toby Weaver. Go go go
Excellent reporting, Ryan!
Very well done. Real. Believable.
Started strong ..first few paragraphs....then threw it all out the window...telling me (man) what to do...zzzzz
Let her sign up for Obamacare.
Mark, I'm so glad you got me started!
Damn, Pat, you are incredibly good at this live-review stuff. Your prose is as musical as the music. So glad you decided to start writing about it, my friend.
Excellent review, Pat.
Great description of Jennifer's sound and vibe! This sounds like an amazing show. I'll be there!
