Re: “Live review: Relient K and Switchfoot

What time does Relient K come on? What time does Switchfoot hit the stage?

Re: “The Give & the Take w/ Cole Collins Us & Them

I saw The Give & The Take play down in Charleston This summer and they are a great southeast band that you want to have on your radar. Passionate songwriting and lead vocals from Singer/Keyboardist Charlotte with a rock solid band. Kinda like an upbeat Adele. No better room than the muse, so I'm sure it will be a blast. My $.02

Re: “Three questions for Stephen Deutsch of Teriyaki Madness

No doubt in my mind about the quality of the franchise or the food being anything less than excellent! I can't wait to come and experience it first-hand, and I'm sure some more great reviews will soon follow! I know Stephen to be a very driven and passionate person, especially when it comes to the art of "chowing down"!

Re: “Three questions for Stephen Deutsch of Teriyaki Madness

Stephen's the "food master"! No doubt about that!
When I first tried Teriyaki Madness I was expecting a typical fast food experience... what I got was a huge surprise! It was fresh, tasty and quick... all great components for a busy lifestyle! Awesome for lunch too... my out of town business associate loved it.
Teriyaki Madness is a delightful surprize for quick quality food!

I trust Mr. Deutsch when it comes to food. They don't call him Big D for nothing. Sounds like a great concept. Must try!

Re: “The dirty girls behind Nashville's Birdcloud

Here I came for what seemed like a background article on one of my favorite groups, only to read your use of them as a standard for female comedy. I listen to them for their raw expression and beautifully honest absurdity. I agree that women are finding more of their own voices and, I find, are really struggling against what has always been considered "manhood"-- but I also don't feel like you "get" their music at all. And clearly that bothered me enough to write all this.

Not to mention your clear miss on the Modest Proposal parallels, sadly adding to the argument of "not getting it" while placing artists in a comedic category. If I earnestly expressed myself and you thought it was funny, I'd take your money but I'd write you off as a person.

Re: “Bizzare crime from Charlotte police files (Nov. 17)

What is equally BIZARRE is "The Blotter" photo at the top of the article. Just like virtually all security system ads on TV, the criminal is white. What is bizarre about this is the fact that roughly 70% of crime is committed by blacks. But then again, they wouldn't want to be more truthful and realistic in our ads because, God forbid, someone might call them racist. So let's keep hiding the facts in hopes that things will get better any day now...

Re: “Can Delta Rae handle the truth?

I just saw delta Rae at Riverhawk music festival this weekend and while they sang a couple Fleetwood Mac songs ( which they rocked) they mostly sang a lot of original work that was ligitimently excellent. Not sure who these reviewers are but a crowd of over 1,000 LOVED them and where in there feet dancing and applauding! Even my teenage granddaughter loved them and her favorite songs were there original work. Can't wait to see them again

The location for this event has changed! We will be meeting at 200 E. 36th Street, Charlotte, NC 28206. Due to light rail construction, you will need to turn onto 36th Street from Tryon Road.
