Women Playing Hamlet:

Thu., March 23, 8 p.m., Fri., March 24, 8 p.m. and Sat., March 25, 8 p.m.

With their commitment to empowering women, Donna Scott Productions and Chickspeare have long been on the same artistic page, but this is the first time they’ve joined forces to produce a show. When an actress auditions for Ophelia, but lands the plum role of Hamlet instead, Women Playing Hamlet gives ”to be, or not to be” a new spin, questioning the roles that are expected of us vs. the ones we choose. $22

This biennial co-production between the Departments of Theatre and Music concludes our season, and indeed, the 42-year tenure of our dear Joe Gardner. Though it is so popular that our license prevents us from announcing the title until mid-November, don’t worry. Its heft befits the moment it marks. Now forget your troubles. Life is beautiful. Contains sexual innuendo and adult situations. This musical is traditionally recommended for ages 16 and up. General Admission: $15; Seniors/Military/Faculty/Staff: $12; Students (K-college): $6

OH and $2 16 oz PBR. Plaza Midwood's Crowded Monocle hosts an improv free-for-all hosted by their director, Zen Master: James Lee Walker II. Do you even monocle bro? It's your favorite Common Market hanging, PBR drinking, spades-n-chess playing, ally way crowding, Mid-Hood loyal, reverse angle parking warning, gentrification complaining, "what's uptown?" asking, ...apparently...cult-like improv troupe. Bring a date! We'll tell them they're pretty! We'll say it to you too if you want! Don't worry if you think you aren't... you ARE! Besides, we're amazing actors! Free
