The third Friday of each month is Girls’ Night Out at Charlotte Fine Art Gallery. In June, create abstract designs with alcohol-based inks on slick Yupo paper. Model the image on something you see--or find your subject within your creation! This is a fun and exciting GNO that everyone enjoys.

Our highlighted artist for June, Anne Hightower-Patterson, has been painting for nearly five decades. In her exhibit Life: Moving and Still, this award-winning South Carolina watercolor painter tells stories through still life images and other scenes that depict people caught candidly in the midst of ordinary actions. Highlighted June 4 through June 29.

Clay Workshop for Teens (When Pigs Fly!)
Two Saturdays. The first week, make your flying pig out of sculpture clay utilizing the pinch pot method. The next week, glaze it in fun colors to adorn your yard. Pick up work at the gallery following firing.

Runners are continually bombarded with colored powder at this event, which provides a new and fun alternative to most 5Ks. Runners should wear white to maximize the effect, and costumes are welcomed. Entry fee covers all-day park admission. Registration begins at 6 a.m. on the day of the run.
