Sat., Sept. 17, 9-11 a.m.
phone 704-773-9355
info@luckyleafgardens.com

Shiitake mushrooms have long been known for their medicinal properties. But many shiitake mushrooms you'll find at the grocery store are grown in sawdust, not on logs, leaving them with fewer nutrients. Learn how you can enjoy their superior flavor and increase their nutrients by growing your own with fresh hardwood logs. In this 2 hour instructional session, you’ll learn how to inoculate a log with shiitake spawn, and prepare for spring and fall fruiting. You will also take home your own inoculated log that will provide you with mushrooms for several years to come. 45
