N.C. Wildlife Federation’s seven-mile paddle across a stretch of the Catawba River raises money for the natural resource conservation. The Latin American Coalition takes over Midwood International and Cultural Center on June 22, 2013, for the fourth annual Caribbean Celebration, ¡Azúcar! This year’s unique, indoor-outdoor festival features the tropical sounds of Puerto Rican salsa, Dominican bachata, and Cuban son. The Brew Dash is a challenging 6K race that kicks off the 2nd annual Brew Stash Bash. Participants will complete the course in time for Brew Stash festivities that include live music, food and a wide selection of the Southeast's top craft beers.
Enjoy sampling various American craft beers at the 2nd annual Brew Stash Bash on Saturday, June 15th. This event provides an opportunity to both taste and learn about our favorite craft brews while enjoying live music performances. U.S. National Whitewater Center’s craft beer festival. In addition to craft beer tastings, the event will include live music and a Brew Dash 6K that winds through the center’s trail system. For $5, you can purchase a craft beer card that gets you four beer samples per card (non-samplers can enter for free and listen to the bands). The Brew Dash is $27. Brew Dash begins at 11 a.m., beer tastings from 1 p.m.-6 p.m.; live music throughout the day (Railroad Earth goes on at 8 p.m.).
