The Atherton Market is turning 3! Peter Hatch will kick off our morning at 9:45 with a brief talk and will follow with a signing of his latest work "A Rich Spot of Earth’: Thomas Jefferson’s Revolutionary Garden at Monticello" until 11 am. The Mike Strauss Band will jam until noon, and chefs from Jim Noble's restaurant The Kings Kitchen will perform cooking demonstrations beginning at 11. There will be activities for the kids and shopping to do! It's a can't miss event. Free

We are pleased to invite you to the 2013 North Carolina Extension Master Gardener Conference!
The conference is open to EVERYONE .... whether you're a master gardener, a novice, or just love fresh food!
Our theme is "Mastering the Garden Harvest" and will focus on Local Foods. Nationally known speakers and workshops will explain the benefits of eating fresher, locally grown foods, growing your own produce, and supporting your local farmers.
This year's event will be sponsored by the Union County Extension Master Gardeners and held at the Union County Agricultural Extension in Monroe, NC.
