Haywood County Arts Council presents International Festival Day one week earlier this year on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Downtown Waynesville, North Carolina. The one-day festival features international cuisine, a juried international and regional art show, local and regional entertainment that have previously included Uncle Hamish & the Hooligans, Folkmoot USA, Honey Holler, the Smoky Mountain Stompers, Professor Whizzpop, plus more. On Sunday July 21, Dogtopia, a national dog day care franchise, will host its 9th Annual Charity Dog Wash to benefit dogs who work year-round. Charlotte's dog owners are invited to bring their dog(s) in for a bath given by Dogtopia’s trained team members and volunteers. The event will feature give-ways, food, photo booths, fun and games for the whole family. A $15 per dog wash donation is requested. Dogtopia has set out to raise $30,000 for working dogs helping veterans across the United States.

Davidson Community Player’s the Connie Company offers summer camps for ages 4-16 with theatre games, art activities and stories for each age and theme. At the end of the week students have a chance to show their parents their favorite moments from the week. Half day sessions are $125 per student and include a snack each day.
