Hackerspace Charlotte is a community workshop designed provide a space with tools and equipment where inquisitive, creative people can meet to collaborate, build, and learn. Tech Tuesday meetings are held every week at 7:30 PM and is a free event open to the public. It is a time for makers, tinkerers, and curious minds to come together. Every Tuesday in March the funniest stand-up comics in Charlotte compete in the 2017 March Mania Comedy Tournament. All of them questing for a $500 cash prize in this single-elimination tournament. Audience opinion will decide who moves forward in the bracket until ultimately one winner is named. Tuesday March 14 - Round 1b with the second group of 16 comics Tuesday March 21 - "Sweet 16" featuring the winners of the previous two shows. Get close to wildlife by walking among butterflies in a Butterfly Pavilion, observing live animals in both Creative Cavern and Insect Alley, hanging out in "Our Big Backyard" or exploring the Paw Paw Nature Trail.
