Beginning in August, CBCC will hold its annual Pints for Pencils campaign. For blood donations made in August and September, CBCC will provide school supplies for your local public school system. This means you can save lives and give students the tools they need to succeed! More public drives can be found at Community Blood Center of the Carolinas’ web site CBCC has donation centers in Charlotte, Concord, Gastonia, Hickory, and Union County ( for center hours). Grab your bike and ride to make a difference at the 13th Annual 24 Hours of Booty presented by Levine Cancer Institute. The annual charity non-competitive cycling event is for all ages and cycling abilities. Funds raised support local and national cancer charities. Event runs from Friday, July 25 at 7:00PM to Saturday, July 26 at 7:00PM. $65 registration fee and raise a minimum of $400 prior to the ride
