Manor Turns 70

Sun., April 30, 1:30, 4:20 & 7:30 p.m.

The cozy Manor Theatre opened its doors 70 years ago on Sunday, and it’s been holding that spot on Providence Road since damn near World War II. To celebrate that birthday, two movies will screen through the day that ran in 1947, the Manor’s inaugural year. First, The Egg and I (1:30 and 7 p.m.), the first movie ever played at the theater, followed by the Gregory Peck flick Gentleman’s Agreement (4:20 p.m.), which won Best Picture in ‘47. $5

As always, we will have $3 Domestics, $5 Tito’s and Deep Eddy’s vodka, along with $5 Crown Royals. Our month-long drink special is the appropriately named drink, “The Sandlot”, which will definitely bring in feelings of nostalgia as you sip on this Cheerwine topped bourbon delight!
