SEMINAR IN CLASSIC CULT FILMS - SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND

Wed., Feb. 22, 7-9 p.m.
phone 704-996-7724
info@warehousepac.com

Rock promoter Robert Stigwood produced this musical pastiche of Beatles songs, based on their seminal rock album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Peter Frampton (as Billy Shears) and The Bee Gees (Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, and Maurice Gibb as Mark, Dave, and Bob Henderson) make up the Fab Four of Sgt. Pepper's Band. Twenty-nine Beatles songs are woven together -- sung by as disparate a collection of personalities as George Burns, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Connie Stevens, David Bowie, and Steve Martin, who perform hallucinatory versions of Beatles hits. $10 general admission $5.00 students

God lives in human form as a cynical writer, in a high-rise apartment in modern-day Brussels with his young opinionated daughter, Ea. He spends his days writing new “laws” that entertain Him, but torment earth’s inhabitants. Concluding that her dad is doing a terrible job, Ea hacks into His computer, and decides to rewrite the world, while gathering new apostles. God eventually sees that he has invented much cruelty for the world, and becomes more… human.
