In the mid eighteenth-century, thousands of Highland Scots immigrated to central North Carolina. Among the settlers was Flora MacDonald, who famously rescued Bonnie Prince Charlie after the Jacobite rebellions. The presentation examines the culture of the Highlanders, and their history in North Carolina and the American Revolutionary War. $25 for public; $20 for members
