Entrees stand out at this eatery. Curry selections excel, including one with catfish, but the most superb is the peppery red curry: a flavorfall of aroma and taste, spiked with chilies and mellowed with coconut milk.
Standard favorites like unagi and hamachi were quite good, while a spicy tuna roll was, in fact, spicy. In addition to sushi, there is tataki, grilled dishes, and quick items such as cucumber and octopus with miso sauce. For the quality, the prices are very reasonable.
With dozens of dishes like house specialties, fried and steamer selections, traditional Chinese and vegetarian dishes, lo mien and chow fun, the success of Taipei is readily apparent: lots of good food at a significantly low price.
