Menu offers dozens of choices, from traditional Japanese to other Asian foods. Tempura is crisp and dumplings have good consistency.
This is a chain restaurant, but the pancakes are so good. The apple pancake is a huge, puffy affair big enough for at least two people. There are plenty of other flavors, too. Expect to wait in line on weekends.
The kitchen is headed by Chef Gene Briggs and menu items include Italian staples, such as pastas, pizzas and grilled meats. But local foods shine here, too. While Osso's cuisine is tethered firmly in Old World comfort food, the interior is more urban than a wind-whipped farmhouse.
