Recently I chatted with a fashion designer who said something very poignant. She said people are their own canvas, able to paint their own piece of art through their own translation to what they think fashion looks like. Wow. I'm my own canvas? Love that!
If you have a hard time wrapping your mind around the concept of being your own canvas, why not let artist Kent Youngstrom use you as his own canvas? On Feb. 12, he and Revolution, a fab boutique in the EpiCentre featuring designer fashion, premium denim, alternative designer suiting, retro-mod collections, artist-inspired T-shirts, rock 'n' roll collections and much more, are teaming up for a live art Valentine's Day event.
Wear a white or black T-shirt and become part of the art, as Youngstrom paints a larger than life, living canvas as well as have other works available for sale. (Some will be available at Revolution as well).
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for you to enjoy some Valentine's Day treats as well as deals on clothing, accessories and jewelry. The event will be hosted by waxMAMA.com's Brooke Gibson.
NOTE: This is an invitation-only event. RSVP by e-mailing brandon@revolutionshop.net.
