Grey's Lament

Posted by Branna Calloway on Wed, Feb 13, 2008 at 11:10 AM

FINALLY! The writers' strike is over after 100 excruciating days. If I had to endure one more week without my Grey's Anatomy fix, I may have had to turn to Lost, the single most perplexing show on television. Do you realize how many times I've wondered

whether Meredith was still killing McDreamy slowly with her "dark and twisted"-ness or whether Cristina found a replacement for Burke that didn't involve being in the OR 24-7 or if George realized he doesn't love Izzie any more than he loved Callie? It almost killed me.

What it's really all about? The Oscars. Academy of Motion Picture, Arts, and Sciences president Sid Ganis told the Associated Press, "I am ecstatic that the 80th Academy Awards presentation can now proceed full steam ahead," without "hesitation or discomfort" for the nominees. Many Hollywood stars wouldn't cross the picket line to participate in the ceremony.

Watercooler talk is saved for the rest of the spring ...
