News Meet the new mayor

Tonight Eastside residents will get a chance to grill the two men who want to lead Charlotte.
And for the first time in 14 years, his name ain't McCrory.
City Council members Anthony Foxx and John Lassiter are vying for the mayor's seat. Both men are at large members of the council.
At 7 p.m. at Windsor Park Elementary School, Foxx and Lassiter will answer 10 prepared questions for the event's organizer, the East Side Political Action Committee and then take questions from the audience.
Organizers are excited about the prospect of electing our city’s first new Mayor in 14 years, and want to ensure that the residents of Charlotte East are able to make informed, educated decisions about which candidate to support.
