The N.C. Court of Appeals has denied Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s attempt to win $30 million in tax refunds from the state.According to court documents, Wal-Mart argued that Hinton had incorrectly combined three Wal-Mart-related business entities to determine the amount of taxes that were owed.
But the appeals court rejected Wal-Marts arguments in a unanimous decision for the state.
