Perino and Beck: Stupid Things of the Week

Posted by John Grooms on Fri, Nov 27, 2009 at 2:18 PM

We’ve got two Stupid Things of the Week in one for you today. Think of it as a complement to those two-for-one holiday sales deals you’ll be seeing a lot of this weekend.

First up is former Bush spokesperson Dana “I don’t know what the Cuban missile crisis was” Perino. On FoxNews the other day, Perino was talking with Sean Hannity, complaining that nobody is calling the Ft. Hood massacre a “terrorist attack.” She said she thinks it’s because the Obama people don’t want to look bad, because – ready? – “we did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush’s term.” She’s referring, of course, to Pres. George W. “9/11 attack on my watch despite having been warned in advance” Bush. Yes, that’s right, no terrorist attacks during Bush’s term – except for the most deadly terrorist attack in American history. Is anyone else getting tired of seeing blithering idiots in positions that used to be filled by well-informed grown-ups?

And speaking of blithering, the Great Unstable One, Glenn Beck, was at it again. First of all, remember that Beck was one of the commentators who said Newsweek’s running-shorts cover photo of Sarah Palin was sexist (a sentiment we basically agreed with). After that incident, La Palin was joking around about potential running mates and said that Glenn Beck might be a good running mate for her. Right after Palin’s comment, Beck told listeners of his radio show that he wouldn’t take the number two job behind the former Alaska governor: "Beck-Palin, I’ll consider. But Palin-Beck — can you imagine, what an administration with the two of us would be like? . . . She’d be yapping or something, and I’d say, “I’m sorry, why am I hearing your voice? I’m not in the kitchen.” And yes, this is still the 21st century despite neanderthal humor like that.

Boy these neocons sure have a short memory. Well let's see we had the recently executed nation of islam fanatic john allen muhammed sniper attacks, he and his madboy protege were protesting US action in the mideast. We also had the anthrax attacks. No conclusive word on who did that one yet. Both during Bush's administration. Conveniently forgotten of course! The Ft. Hood attacks to me appear to be more of a crazy guy driven mad by the insanity of counseling killers. There's been 10 suicides at Ft. Hood THIS YEAR too -- not reported much. We'll see more crazy stuff from these kids returning after fighting for lies. The neocon Beck (wait..he says he's a libertarian..lol!) is trying that left liberal game of calling marxist Palin's detractors sexist. Pish tosh... Partisan politics is so predictable.

Perino and Glenn Beck should be deported for such trash. George Bush is responsible for the worst terrorist attack known to man. He allowed it to happen, lied to the world, then led our troops to die in a war against a country that had nothing to do with it. Frank Griffin is more of a traitor than any of them. Just read his sick, FOX NEWS loving reports. Like many white southerners, he's a rich racist that's just mad as living hell that Bushy and those devils are no longer in power.

Joyce, that is just irresponsible of you to accuse Bush of being "RESPONSIBLE" for the 9/11 attacks! NOBODY except for the RADICAL ISLAMICS who planned and/or executed the attacks is "RESPONSIBLE"! REGARDLESS of your politics! The left cannot distinguish between "talking points", "throw away one-liners", and "COLD HARD FACTS"! As for Palin, she actually said it would be "A HOOT". Notice the INTENTIONAL quotation marks. They are there because I am quoting her EXACT WORDS. Of course, anytime the bleeding left writers of Creative Loafing write about a conservative like beck, they are going to use their worst picture. Even if it is of someone lying in a hospital bed recovering from surgery! The point of the article is NOT his surgery, so the picture is irrelevant, and politically biased. Just as nearly every single picture published by the mainstream media during the Obama campaign was photoshopped to oblivion to portray him in the best possible manner. TRUE JOURNALISM IS DEAD! Creative Loafing is irrelevant and anachronistic. I'm only here because I stumbled upon this via a Google search for something unrelated. I'm tired of the far left pretending to be the mainstream, just because they speak up more than anybody else! Mainstream America (The United States of America, that is) usually keep quiet. Not any more!!!!!! - Joe in sunny liberal California
