Survey: Charlotte crime

Posted by Rhiannon Fionn-Bowman on Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 1:20 PM

Neighbors for a Safer Charlotte, a non-profit bent on curbing crime in the Q.C., wants your input.

Why are they conducting a survey?

Neighbors For A Safer Charlotte "NSC" is conducting an independent survey to assess citizens' impressions of crime in our community. As a non-profit volunteer organization, NSC's goal is to bring together representative voices from all over Charlotte, to advocate for much needed resources for our broken and under-funded criminal justice system. Whether it be tougher sentencing for repeat offenders, or additional resources for juvenile, mental health, substance abuse and job training services, we all have a voice in the direction of public policy and allocation of tax dollars and NSC works on your behalf to elevate the citizen voice. NSC represents no government office, no office of law enforcement and no political party or representative. We are a nonpartisan coalition of the citizens of Mecklenburg County and value your participation and input. Please join the coalition by going to www.safecharlotte.org and be a part of the solution!

Click here to let them know how safe, or unsafe, your neighborhood is. Don't worry, your comments are anonymous and it will only take a couple minutes to complete. The survey results will be posted on March 30.
