The Mecklenburg County Arts & Science Council announced today the recipients of $50,000 in funding for regional art projects.
The Regional Artist Project Grants — which the ASC doles out in conjunction with arts councils in Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Rutherford and York counties, as well as the North Carolina Arts Council and Blumenthal Endowment — will go to 31 of 106 area applicants. The alliance distributes the funds to artists pursuing specified projects that will help them better their craft.
