SEED20 has announced this year's nominees in the annual competition that awards the most innovative local nonprofits a cash prize.
According to a statement:
These 20 innovators - selected from a competitive applicant pool - have compelling ideas for creating positive social change in the Charlotte region. Their ideas were selected based on relevance, innovation, and potential for tangible community impact.
In mid-January, business and civic leaders will spend seven weeks with the nominees, training and coaching them on how to "succinctly and powerfully" tell their story. In March, a few of the nominees will make three-minute pitches to a panel of judges and an audience of business and nonprofit leaders, foundation executives and other community members. The winners will receive cash prizes that will help further their missions.
