First Drip (5/5/14): McCrory sells Duke stock, Target's CEO resigns, more

Amid an investigation into his relationship with his former employers, Gov. McCrory has sold his Duke Energy stock. A spokesman says the decision "eliminates the often repeated, ridiculous and false, partisan left-wing attacks challenging the intent of our decisions and policies." The filings that showed the sale did not indicate how much the governor owned or when the stocks were sold.

The supposed leader of the Islamist militant group that abducted 276 Nigerian school girls says he will sell them. "'I abducted your girls. I will sell them in the market, by Allah,' a man claiming to be Abubakar Shekau says in a video, according to a CNN translation from the local Hausa language. 'There is a market for selling humans. Allah says I should sell. He commands me to sell. I will sell women. I sell women.'"

Nine performers at a Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus' Legends show in Providence, Rhode Island, were seriously injured after a clamp holding the performance tent together snapped Saturday. The performers were held some 25 to 40 feet in the air and came crashing down on dancers on the ground. None of their injuries are life threatening.

As a result of last year's security breaches, Target's chairman and chief executive has left the company. Gregg Steinhafel was with Target for 35 years. John Mulligan, Target's chief financial officer, will replace him.

Scientists may have discovered a Dracula-friendly approach to age reversal. A team found that the aging process in older mice was stalled when they were injected with the blood of younger mice.
