Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy immediately filed an appeal after being found guilty of two misdemeanor charges in relation to assaulting his former girlfriend. The appeal entitles him to a jury trial. The judge at Tuesday's hearing sentenced Hardy, who signed a one-year contract with the Panthers earlier this year, to a 60-day suspended sentence and 18 months of probation.
Residents in the town of Seneca, S.C., found bags of candy on their doorsteps over the weekend with a piece of paper asking them to join the Ku Klux Klan. The paper said, "Save Our Land, Join the Klan." Not surprisingly, the residents aren't happy.
