Arts Patricia McBride named a 2014 Kennedy Center Honoree — you go, girl

Al Green. Tom Hanks. Patricia McBride. Lily Tomlin. Sting.
All of these fine folks have been selected for the 2014 Kennedy Center Honors, but only one has a building donning her name (along with her husband's) in Charlotte.

- Charlotte Ballet's Patricia McBride has been named a Kennedy Center Honoree
The press release announcing the news called McBride, Charlotte Ballet's associate artistic director, "one of the world’s greatest ballerinas."
Damn, Patty. You go, girl.
