First Drip (2/24/15): City Council approves tax incentive package for snack maker, more

City Council signed off on a $3 million tax break incentive package for Frito-Lay, which has a facility in southwest Charlotte, to help the maker of the salty yet satisfying Fritos expand. $1.2 million will come from the city, the rest from the county. In return? Charlotte gets 35 more jobs.

State Senate will hear a bill today that, if approved, would give magistrates the right to bow out of issuing marriage licenses if they feel their religious rights are being infringed upon.
