New nightclub headed to QC

“New Club Will Bring Pure Dance Back to Charlotte Nightlife,” …says the press release I just received regarding the opening of The Garden and Gun Club at the NC Music Factory, which will neighbor the hub of this blog: the Creative Loafing offices.

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited for this new edition to Charlotte nightlife, based on the information below… and the convenient location. But the question is, how convenient will it be for those who aren’t basically already there?

The press release also said this….

The city’s thriving entertainment scene is about to get a fresh injection from a pioneer of Charlotte nightlife. Charlotte-based TwoDalGals, LLC, is on track to open The Garden and Gun Club at the NC Music Factory in late July, and has hired long-time innovator Andy Kastanas as creative consultant and resident DJ.

The nightclub’s focus will be squarely on progressive dance music and bringing the latest national and international sounds to the Queen City. “It’s a return to pure dance for the love of it,” said Kastanas. “This will not be a see-and-be-seen club. There is no VIP Room. Everyone will be a VIP.”

The 12,000 square-foot venue will have a large dance floor, an impressive sound and lighting system, ample seating and an outdoor garden patio. The concept is comfortable and inviting and will feature art and cultural exhibitions as well. “We aren’t targeting any particular type of guest. We hope to attract a truly diverse clientele and provide another exciting entertainment option for this city,” Kastanas added.

The Garden and Gun Club will be the first dance venue to open in the 35-acre NC Music Factory entertainment complex in historic Fourth Ward. In addition to three outdoor amphitheaters, the site will include music venues featuring genres from rock and acoustic to country and blues, as well as restaurants, retail, residential and work spaces. A new four-lane road will funnel traffic from Graham Street directly to the site. The road is expected to open in the coming weeks.
