10-in-10 CD Reviews

Posted By on Fri, Nov 7, 2008 at 11:21 AM

Each Friday, we'll bring you 10 random CD reviews done in 10 words:

Arizona Glowing Bird — Finally, a band writes a tribute song about…Heath Ledger?

Dir En Grey Uroboros — Beware bands with a ‘vocalist’ listed instead of a ‘singer.’

I Set My Friends On Fire You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter — Now I want to set this terrible CD on fire.

Keane Perfect Symmetry — Seriously? This band has sold more than 8 million albums?

Milton Grand Hotel — Vocally weak roots/folk with CD cover that’s not appealing.

Noah and the Whale Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down — British accent can be kinda distracting during simple folk music.

Push-Pull Hello Soldier!!! — Bringing retro feeling from the land of old-school punk.

The Rescues Crazy Ever After (Evening Muse 11/14) — No surprise the trio’s enjoyable harmonies featured on Grey’s Anatomy.

Sing It Loud Come Around (Tremont 11/16)— Pop rockers aren’t too original, but the kids’ll love ‘em.

Eric Wilson and Empty Hearts Quarterfuse — Debut is only six tracks of some decent country-folk.
