Another venue closes...

After 22 years up at Lake Norman, under various ownership, Double Door @ Lake Norman has closed its doors.
While the club no longer had direct ties to the Double Door Inn aside from the name, the venue remained a live music venue.
It's always sad to see another business close, especially one of the few live music venues up on the north side of town. The owners haven't given up hope of finding a new location, so there may still be some hope. With all the construction going on on Catawba Ave., business had taken a big hit.
We thank the venue for its years of service to the community, and their support of our latest Homebrew CD, of which they were the sponsor.
