Groundation vs. Fergie

The band Groundation is suing Fergie, stating that her song "Voodoo Doll" stole it's music from the Groundation song "Waterfall."
Sounds like the same thing to me. What do you think?

As a devoted Groundation fan I am not surprised that their fantastic original music has caught the attention of music lovers of all types. Having said that and reading some of the publicity surrounding this controversy, mentioning Groundation as a "little know reggae band", this is a clear copyright violation. It's sad when a band who works so hard to create original conscious music is ripped off by someone so caught up in the corporate Babylon System. I personally know nothing of this "little known" Fergie person and her friends, but I have traveled to Europe and back and all over Arizona and California to see Groundation. Good luck to Groundation in settling this amicably. I know they tried before getting to this point of litigation.... From one of Groundation's many friends, Tree Frog 1

I happen to be a fan of Groundation as well, so I may have some bias but this is clearly a rip off of their ORIGINAL song. How did Fergie think she could do this to another artist? I too hope Groundation gets this settled in their favor. The background music is exactly the same, just sped up a little! Annoying. You would think Fergie has enough money to pay her writers to come up with something original.
