Maylene and the Sons of Disaster Hillbilly rock lives on with this rough and tumble metal group from Birmingham, Ala., who looks like they just crawled out from the movie Deliverance. In fact, their video for the song "Step Up" is a new age rendition of the classic flick. They intertwine hard bass and guitar licks with Dallas Taylor's traditional metal vocals that stretch his vocal cords to the limit. But that's a given in heavy metal.
