Cora Kay Benefit The only good thing about cancer is that it brings out people’s compassion, which is certainly the case with this benefit for Cora Kay Tucker, the 2-year-old daughter of Situationals vocalist Candice Tucker (pictured) and her husband Michael. Diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma in March, Cora is making great progress but needs a bone-marrow transplant. So a horde of local acts are donating time to celebrate the tyke’s big spirit and, as the press release aptly says, “give cancer the finger.” The lineup includes her mom’s band, South 85, Old Milwaukee, Garrigan, Hardcore Lounge, Jon Lindsay and the Aqualads. There’ll be food, a raffle, and a silent auction, too. $10 suggested donation. 5 p.m. Snug Harbor. www.snugrock.com. (John Schacht)
